Your statement
- PDF files are read and converted in your browser. The file, its transactions, account numbers and any PDF password are never sent to our server or anyone else, and are not stored.
- The Excel or CSV file is built in your browser and downloaded straight to your device.
- Once you close the tab or reload the page, all of that is gone from the browser's memory.
- The page is locked with a Content Security Policy: the browser may only contact our own domain. You can check this yourself in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools.
What we record: anonymous usage counts
To know whether the site is useful and which banks need fixing, we count usage anonymously. Counts are sent to our own domain (/ingest) and forwarded to PostHog, hosted in the European Union.
What is counted: pages opened, where visits come from (the site only, such as google.com), country, files added (only which bank and whether it could be read), balance-check results (match or not, and a rough row count), downloads (Excel or CSV) and requests for new banks.
What is never sent: file names or contents, your name, account numbers, amounts, transaction descriptions, passwords or your IP address. There are no user profiles; each visit uses a random identifier that exists only in memory while the page is open.
Browsers that send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal are not counted at all.
Cookies and browser storage
We use no cookies and store nothing in your browser (no localStorage, sessionStorage or similar). There are no ads and no third-party scripts.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like every host, Cloudflare processes page requests (such as IP address and browser type) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Those requests never contain your file or statement data.
Anonymised samples you send
If a file can't be read, you can create an anonymised sample: the page layout with every letter replaced by a/A and every digit by 9. It's made only in your browser and reaches us only if you email it. We use it only to improve reading of that format, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your data is never used to train AI.
